The Importance of Non-Reformist Reforms
I think non-reformist reforms is the right phrase, even though it sounds terrible. Part of the reason this campaign was really critical was labor in general in New York State is not interested in working with socialists. They are scared about letting go of fossil fuels. And whatever you want to believe about labor leadership, we can be fair to them and say they've worked really hard to win their contracts at their existing workplaces. Those contracts are really good, they have fought and won those with blood in some cases, and they don't want to let those go.
