Why I Don't Like Black Pepper With Curcumin

The reason I don't like pepper is because there's a compound in pepper called piperine. It inhibits UDP-glucuronisyltransferase, which is the enzyme in your liver that adds a glucuronide moiety to toxins. So we were talking about this. The reason we put pepper with curcumin is that the levels of curcumin in the human body go up like 1,000 fold.
