We use a small device that we use. Your patient will exhel everything, so they'll empty the lungs and then they'll suck in an harden as fast as they can. We look at specifically just the peak an espiratory flow. So i taste your diaphragm strength, but i look at your height, age, weight and gender to see where you should be. And that gives me an idea of ar you above or below youa diaphram strength, ya. If you put your hand on your stomach, you shouldn't feel any activity underneath that hand. This will change during exercise, but you certainly shouldn't be working that hard when you sit in stall
