The Importance of Conservation in the War
Zoos that could afford to made special enclosures for their highly dangerous animals. Between 1939 and 1944, zookeepers at the London Zoo slaughtered nearly 200 of their animals. In Europe, especially, tons of animals died simply because no one was around to take care of them. But is it ever ethical to take an animal from their natural habitat and put it in jail?
