The Importance of the Mass
Jesus looking out of the crowd and having compassion upon them is expressive of the heart of God on display throughout the Bible. This is a sacred picture in many ways of the Mass. With the priest or the bishop operating in persona Christ in the person of Christ, this beautiful call and response is established. And then the first part of the Mass is dominated by the Word.
