The Art of Typing

Kathleen: The presence of the typewriters gives it almost this arcane sense of magic, which is easy to exaggerate, but nevertheless is a real thing. Twice I've held or co-held a type in at the Care Wreck Project of Orlando where we fill Jack Care Wreck's house with typewriters and it's so much fun Kathleen. So the typewriter itself, I want to gently say is part of whatever makes it special or interesting is these instruments of history that are actually pretty durable. And depending on whether or not if they're a manual typewriter, finger strength is going to be part of you actually reading the writing done.
