Data Science - Should I Define AB Tests?

We're big fans of iPython. And in fact, we use an iP python notebook now as the format for our take home tech assignment for candidates for the real time analytics group under me. So largely when you look at data science driving product decisions, we're big fan of AB tests. You need to have a good enough understanding of your product that you can basically tie everything into some sort of key performance indicator KPI.
