What Are Biomarkers?
Biomarkers are also used for assessing whether a drug is working or not in much more of a diagnostic or pharmacodynamic way. When we start our clinical trials in patients, we take biopsies repeatedly from patients. And what we want to do there is based on our preclinical understanding of what the drug is meant to do, we test in humans.
