The Lord Is in the Right
Lamentations chapter 1 concludes with a similar confession. Jerusalem has rebelled against the Lord, and her terrible condition is testimony to the Lord's justice. The other nations to which she turned for compassion have looked upon her, and far from comforting her, they have rejoiced in her downfall. A question to consider, why is lament so rare within the life of the contemporary church?
