Dr. Dow: There should be an opportunity for renegotiation, especially if it's a term contract. If there's a renewal period after two years, that would probably be a good time to sit down and try to renegotiate with your employer. But I will say anytime you're renegotiating and you're changing the contract, those changes need to be put in writing and they need to be signed by both parties.
