The Importance of the Heart in Christendom

I have a real struggle with Christendom glorifying, especially men who have made a lot of money and calling that holy. And this really messed my paradigm up. When God gives them the instructions to build the temple, it's so specific and ornate and lavish. But at the same time, there's so much in scripture you can't get away from that it infers some sense of his wealth because he made good decisions. Or he was a man who had things and that was a big deal. I want to say those things don't matter. It doesn't matter. God just cares about the heart.
