The Importance of Values in Engineering Management
I have been a huge fan of Sarah Drassner's book, Engineering Management for the rest of us. She suggests in there doing a value exercise with your team. And it was so eye opening because she explains in the book that a lot of times people are unhappy because their values don't align with their team and they don't necessarily align with the company. So if you can find other people that align with that, it does make it a whole lot easier.
