Gandalf as Ian McCallen

Tolkien was a Quarky guy. He insisted on Roman Catholicism and his upbringing, because as I believe you guys discussed from maybe this in the book,. His mother passes is sick and dies. And her family extended family rejecting her because she converted to Roman Catholicism. That became this key thing in Tolkien's personality. To try and say that that doesn't play a role would be silly.
