Wegel's Laboratory on Typhus

By the 19 thirties, wigel's lab had become the world leading lab on typhus. People came from all over to study his lous colony and learn how to feed lice for a vaccine. The institute grew rapidly, where it served as the only means of survival for many polish people who faced death starvation or deportation. About half of the feeders were actively working in the resistance against german forces. Workers would sabotage the typhus vaccines that were intended for german soldiers, making them essentially like ineffective. While tens of thousands of full strength doses of vaccine were smuggled out of the lab and into the jewish ghettos where lice infestation was incredibly high.
