The Ex-Ex Savings Trends Continued
US households accumulated $2.3 trillion in savings above a ban, where they would have had a pre-COVID trends continued since the end of 2021. About one-fourth of those excess savings have been spent. The ex-ex savings are being worked through. This was interesting too. They're saying businesses were able to lock in lower rates.
