Writing a Memoir
I always felt, and i think maybe a lot of asian american feel, that i didn't have standing to talk about race. Because we were quoin cod, the model minority, neither white nor black. We were in this inbetween gray space. And just to be able to experience a different perspective or a different part of the world so vividly was the gift i desperately wanted to give my readers. That ultimately is what i believe the best literature does,. writing about verty writing about exclusion, writing about invisibility."
