The Pope's Definition of Synodality

Vatican II insists on the image of the people of God journeying together toward eternal life. The word itself, as everyone points out, is from the Greek that means walking together. It's not a denial of the church's authority structure or its hierarchical nature. bishops have this centrally important role of governance and they govern always in union with the Pope.
