The Problem With Animal Breeding

The way animal breeding worked was you would take the top individual performers in each generation and breed from them. The chicken is laying an egg every 10 seconds, and it's varying our house. We have like- Did you see what we turned these animals into? That used to be a wolf. Have you seen the ancient ancestors of grains and fruits that we have? They're hideous.
