The White House was explicitly defending syringe exchanges. The goal was to just get the word crack pipe and biting in the same headline and make it go viral, which they did a very impressive job doing. One is a race trope, and ote isn't one sounds badad evokes notions of kind of black criminality in one, doesn't right? And it's not even evoking. I mean, let's actually be clear. This was about putting biting black free crackpipes, just in te same headline or fox news graphic. Ye. It's the definition of a totally manufactured right wing panic.
