What Makes a Maximum Security Prison?
When I first started there, we had no inmate younger than 23 years old. That was pretty much the norm is you had to be at least 23 because of the environment you were in and the people that were there. There's basically three classifications: minimum security, a medium security, a maximum security. And then you go jump up to a supermax. Supermaxes have basically no movement unless you're escorted by a staff member when you're out of your cell. Those are more of a new wave thing that has come in.
