The History of Feynman Diagram Calculations
Dimensional idealization is basically just using the fact that we know the volume of a sphere in, in D dimensional space. It's given by something that's proportional to after the D times some product of gamma functions and things. That's essentially what one's using in doing these calculations in particle physics or lecture dynamics.
