There's a really great PhD thesis by Jade long which she published in 2019. She focuses on the arc of, you know, really important dual use technologies over the 20th century. The researchers fade into the backdrop constrained by their dependence on RNG funding and by the legislative environment. You very quickly start to see corporations as well as governments be the ones that are driving the rules of the road with AI. Danny: savor this moment when we still have the AI researchers being the ones who are sort of driving and shaping the discussion because the window may not be open for much longer.
