This is ultimately a test of western resolve. Ukraine is calling for the maximum deterrent. And ukrane believes its future its very existence it has threatened by puton's intervention to day. By many accounts so far, that intervention looks like a large scale invasion. We just don't know how serious those battles are. It still looks unlikely that russia will make an immediate attempt to take kif that is another operation of a different order.
