The Role of Cauldrons in Myths and Legends
Jody Joy is a senior curator at the Museum of Archeology and Anthropology at the University of Cambridge. He says cauldrons were used to cook food, particularly soups and stews containing meat. Almost all of the cauldrons from this period in Ireland show signs of having been through repairs. That indicates a long social life for each individual cauldron.
