I think the book is teaching discipleship to real Christians in the first century on how to respond to empire and tyranny. So would you be a historicist idealist? You know, I told a friend of mine, he called me a preterist. And I don't want to be locked into that category because I see the book as a theological hermeneutics. It provides readers with a new lens to view our contemporary world.
