Pure of Heart, or Purity of Desire?

i'm curious, you know, how do you think about differentiating between desires that are more pure verses desires that are driven by this mometic kind of energy. Is it just like sitting down and thinking, like, ok, like, why am i desiring this thing? Or is there some other criteria you use to think about what's more pure or good versus things that aren't as clear-cut. What makes the desire morePure: sin hase something to do with that, right?
