Andrew harding travelled to the swamps of the congo basin with greta dargy from the university of leeds in the u k. This particular swamp is what's known as a peatlent, which is why it's so important. Just to be clear, this is full of carbon. And because that organic matter hasn't fully decomposed, it pacitly stores lots of carbon. So ar question day is, why is saving tropical swamps such a sticky business?
