Chat GPT is funded by Microsoft. It generates language one word at a time in a certain style that you can tell it to generate the language in. So what it will do is provide like a reasonably grammatically correct sentence in English, but may not mean anything that makes sense or it might make like three quarter sense, but not all the way. Nuno said it's probably multiple layers of algorithms that are then sort of iteration on each other.
