How to Present a Slide Presentation

Every single word on the slide should earn its place there. Unless you can justify why a word is on that slide then you shouldn't have it. People are there to hear you talk and they should be there giving the information orally. I've been gradually moving away from having slides for many parts of the talk with just me talking. The need to constantly have a slide next to you is really not there anymore because there's no reason that you can't just be you on screen.
