Hubble Deep Field
Hubble was only promised to be a 15 year observatory. It turns 30 in a couple of weeks. And its continued to be stayed at the art and stay at the cutting edge. Here's one of my absolutely favorite hubble images, it's called the hubble deep field. If you take an instrument like hubble and you point it to pach patch of the sky that you believe is black and empty, this patch happens to be in the big dipper. This is what's in black and empty space. Every other colored dot in here, it's a galaxy.
