Gash: I find so many interesting things to write about all the time. Because i imagine that all these stories are happening in the same universe, or i literally call it the village of nothing much. My stories do follow the seasons, you know, to the month. So except for my listeners in the southern hemisphere, they usually line up pretty well with where you are. And because you i can sort of write in this stream of consciousness, really freeze you up as a writer.
How often do you have a hard time falling asleep? For me, it's almost every day, until I found this podcast, Nothing Much Happens, which helps people fall asleep by telling soothing stories.
So naturally, I invited Kathryn Nicolai, the creator of Nothing Much Happens Podcast, and the writer of the book with the same name, on to talk about the podcast's origin story, what inspired her to start the podcast, her approach to writing the stories, and also the neuroscience behind sleep!
