The Role of Local Public Health Departments in Screening for TB

Most cases of TB are coming from people who have spent time or were born in those countries that you mentioned. But there's also a feature that you really should pay attention to what your local public health department is also saying about the risk, says CDC chief Tom Frieden. There are two types of tests that we're making recommendations about: The skin test and IgRAO interferon gamma-relisacy. Both tests do have pretty decent accuracy in the detection of people with latent TB infection.
