When Did You Have an Epiphany?
Tom Steyer: I come from a family of people who have for a couple of generations been really interested in the wild parts of America. He says his summer jobs during college reflected a desire to get back to what he would think of as early America. In 2005, he took his kids to Alaska where he'd worked for a summer to try and show the most unspoiled land left in the 50 American states. And so it was the physical evidence of global warming that made him realize something needed to be done.
