The History of War Movies

War movies often paint the military in a flattering light, but is that the filmmaker's choice? One thing we know for sure is film studios and the U.S. Department of Defense have been collaborating for nearly a century. Producers gave up some creative control, but they were able to make films and TV shows that felt authentic.
