Aristippus the Younger was a founder of the seeronatics school. He believed that pleasure is what we experience right now, with pain only as something to be avoided. His ideas were opposed by Epicureans and Higgysius who said life can't be more pleasant than painful. The Seeronics are an unusually fascinating footnote in the history of philosophy - especially for their innovative ideas about human experience.
