Sylvia Plath went to a friend's house right before she ended her life and was engaging in a conversation with this person. She didn't say that, but when you read the account, she kind of lingered on. No point was she completely honest and vulnerable about what she wanted or what she was going through. It was almost like she was saying, if you can't see my pain, then it must not be that great.
