The Afterword of Crisis

Sally Kohn: The book really stood out because routine crisis does not necessarily trace the afterword of crisis as an event, but it tracks the continually making of an afterword. So what counts as an event for whom with what implications is something that is always at least potentially unstable and something that is made and made and remade over time. She says she wanted to emphasize the way that these processes are fully material right but they are also completely about interpretation and signification so there's two dimensions of thinking about event history transformation in different traditions.
