Anita Woolley has been looking at what she calls collective IQ and measuring the collective performance of individuals that have been randomly. Assembled into teams. What she found was that it wasn't the intelligence of any member on the team. There were a few things that predicted how well these teams would perform. And one of them was a construct called theory of mind which really is how well you can reverse engineer someone else based on their observable behavior.
