The History of Thanksgiving
In the eight hundreds, i found x many examples of a turkey and pumpkin pie appearing on thanksgiving menus. There've been many changes in the menu over the years too. For example, in new england, achick pot pie was a standard feature of the thanksgiving buffet. Venison also appeared on a lot of thanks Thanksgiving tables. And the tradition of pies was you didn't have just one, you had an array, a big selection of pies at the time.
