Fortnite and the Star Wars Shit?

This was always this was the question when Fortnite added Star Wars shit. Who paid who for that activation? Is it minions pays Google or Google pays minions? It's basically two way marketing. I feel like there's a little bit of like it's more like a barter system. These are companies that are so large that they pay themselves for services.
