The Importance of Moral Development

Sesame Street very early on in the 1960s was explicitly designed to create an atmosphere of tolerance and inclusion where they even invented different characters that had different skin tones. And I think that's actually a beautiful vision we had on this podcast earlier. Stanford history professor Fred Turner who talked about the idea of democratic propaganda. That there's no such thing as not social engineering. If you are engineering a television show that's going to reach 100 million kids, you are going to impact their moral development whether you want to or not.
