"This is sort of my parenting philosophy. It doesn't have to be for like an infant or something," he says. "I think that one of the things that actually happened was that we, our daughter was not like us at all." He and his wife were big readers; they would send her upstairs with Harry Potter when she wanted to go to sleep. She ended up going to USC honors engineering and becoming a successful engineer.
