This chapter explores the early narratives of the Book of Daniel, highlighting themes of identity and faithfulness amidst cultural pressures. When culture tries to rename you, redefine you, and reshape your identity, how do you stay faithful to God? In Daniel 1–3, four young men—Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah—are taken into Babylonian captivity and face pressure to abandon their faith, compromise their values, and even accept pagan names. But instead, they choose loyalty to Yahweh over assimilation to Babylon. Their courage shows us how to stand firm in a world constantly trying to redefine who we are.
