Reincarnation in Early Christianity

This chapter explores the history and beliefs of the Carpocratians, an early Christian sect that embraced reincarnation and sought liberation through diverse human experiences. It highlights the theological contributions of Origen of Alexandria and the debates about the concept of pre-existence of souls, as well as the gradual rejection of reincarnation by mainstream Christianity. Additionally, the chapter touches upon modern attitudes towards reincarnation and the development of educational initiatives focused on biblical studies.
