I think there's something of a program, an ethical program for individuation happening within this text, or at least being suggested in this text. The thing that I find most important is that the philosophical life is basically undergirded by the non-philosophical dimension of our lives. For the philosopher in our lives that which has philosophical import may not be immediately recognizable to the philosopher until they start working with concepts. And so there's one reading of this that I see as a very redemptive model of philosophy. In the sense that if you're just trying to make sense out of life, what is it around you that is going to allow you to do that? Well
