The Origin of the Zigarate in Mesopotamia
The zigarat was the defining building of sumerian temple sites that were built to worship the sumerian deities. Zigarates are reasonably easy to distinguish, as they appear to be built in layers of decreasing size the higher you go. It is difficult to be completely specific about how these zigarats were used, or exactly who had access to them. The most famous mesopotamian zigarat would have to be the zigarat of irak - despite all the political upheaval and warfare that has riddled irak in recent times, the cigarette has been carefully looked after in order for those once great buildings to be preserved.
