I Ant So T She's Rude to Clementine. That's No Good

We never really got an explanation for what happened to clementine, did we? What was the purpose of showing that scene where william murders her? I guess that's when they like, repossessed clementine's host's body and maybe putting the rainball in it or something. The whole time watching this, i'm thinking to myself, wouldn't it be easier to just run this caleb through assimulation in a computer? Like you have the caleb personality that you're programming into the body. Wouldn't you just run it throug the computer? And i think that's one of the sort of overarching points that this show is trying to make.
