The Hoosiers' Slow Clap

Did Hoosiers invent the slow clap? I've got a couple of buddies that have convinced Dave started it. This actually is answerable. It starts in brew baker with Robert Redford. And he goes, he pretends he's a prisoner. So as he's driving off, and then all the prisoners slow clap him as the car drives away. That's like 1980. He wasn't Spartacus. Was there one in Spartacus? I don't know.I think it's the best slow clap, though,. The slow clap in the locker room has become a huge jumbotron thing.
