How to Create a Healthy Culture for People
LinkedIn has tried to create a more organic culture by doing personal check-ins at the beginning of meetings. But it doesn't work, says Reid Hoffman: "When you know you're being manipulated, most people don't like being manipulated" What does work? Enhancing the experience between other human beings so that they have a good experience at the office and word of that spreads over time,. It's not like an immediate like, oh, suddenly the switch is flipped. That's not the way it works. You gain a reputation and then that reputation starts to feed on itself. And by providing a healthy culture for people, that works.
