Trek describe the Amanda ALR as their highest value road race bike. For 2,300 pounds you get nice enough alloy wheels and a perfectly good groupset. You could probably get a bike for less, but you'll be coming from a brand that isn't Trek. 10 years time we're going to be celebrating the move back to rim breaks.
